Use Easy Wireless Connect to set up a PIXMA TS series printer on a network.

Solution

Before Starting

The following video will walk you through the process outlined below.


Before you can use a PIXMA TS series printer to print or scan wirelessly on a Windows PC, you will need to complete the setup process.

The setup process consists of two parts:

  1. Start Easy Wireless Connect on your printer.

  2. Download and run the setup file on your computer.

Follow the instructions below to complete these steps.

Tip If you want to use a mobile device to complete the Easy Wireless Connect steps, refer to set up on Android™ or set up on iOS®.


1. Start Easy Wireless Connect on your printer

  1. If the ON lamp (A) on the printer is flashing, press the Stop button (B).

  2. Press and hold the Direct button (C) on the printer, then release the button when mobile phone icon (D) flashes

  3. Make sure the wireless icon wireless icon and the horizontal bars flash as shown (E).

  4. Follow the next set of steps to download and run the file.


2. Download and run the setup file on your computer

  1. Follow this link to get the setup file (or use the setup CD).

  2. Select Start Setup.

  3. Select your country or region, then select Next.

  4. Read the license agreement, then select Yes.

  5. Select Agree or Do not agree to the Extended Survey Program.

  6. Select Next.

  7. Select Yes to the connection method.

  8. If the Select wireless router screen (below) appears, select the wireless router to connect to the printer, enter the Network Key (password), and select Next. If you don't see the screen below, go to the next step.

  9. Wait while the setup continues.

  10. When the Connection complete screen appears, select Next.

     If your printer is not detected, make sure that the computer has reconnected to the correct network. Also, you may need to temporarily disable any firewall software, or you may need to open blocked ports in the firewall. If your PC is connected to a VPN (Virtual Private Network), temporarily disconnect from the VPN and try the setup again. Also, if you are using a dual-band router, further troubleshooting information can be found here.

  11. ​The Head Alignment and Test Print screens appear. These tasks can be performed or not. If you choose to perform these, carefully follow the on-screen instructions.

  12. From the Setup Complete screen, select Next.

  13. Select any optional application software you want (check or uncheck each box to make or remove a selection).

  14. Select Next from the Smartphone or Tablet instructions screen.

  15. Choose Skip or Next on the User Registration screen.

  16. Choose Exit and the setup is complete. You can now use your printer wirelessly.
