If you receive the support code 88 when attempting to print with a PRO series printer (such as the imagePROGRAF PRO-300, PRO-1000, or PIXMA PRO-200) on a Mac, enable the Cancel Margin Regulation option by following the steps below.
-
In the Print dialog, click on the Pop-up menu (this will usually show the name of the program that you are printing from).

-
In the Pop-up menu, click Advanced Paper Settings
If you are using macOS 13, Advanced Paper Settings is found under Printer Options.

-
Place a check in the box for Cancel Margin Regulation.

-
After adjusting any other settings as desired, click Print.
Use this option if printing with Photo Paper Pro Premium Matte, Premium Fine Art Smooth or Matte Photo Paper.
For the PRO-200, use this option if printing with Matte Photo Paper, Premium Fine Art Rough, or Photo Paper Pro Premium Matte A.
When you check this item, the safety margin regulation is canceled, printing in a wider print area and borderless full-page printing become possible, and printing can be performed for all paper sizes.
When the safety margin regulation is canceled, the paper may become smudged or the print quality may drop depending on the paper size used and the environment.
If that happens, we recommend that you print on a paper size that has large margins.
