Solution

The reason for the error code

One or more ink tanks can't be recognized.
 
 

Actions you can take

Open the ink cover and replace the unrecognized ink tank. The light will be off next to the unrecognized tank.  Refer to Replacing an ink tank.

Make sure you install a supported ink tank.  Your printer uses the following ink tanks:
 

PGI-250 PGBk
CLI-251 Bk
CLI-251 C
CLI-251 M
CLI-251 Y
 
PGI-250XL PGBk
CLI-251XL Bk
CLI-251XL C
CLI-251XL M
CLI-251XL Y
PGI-255XL PGBk
