Description

Learn how to manually align the print head in your PIXMA MX922 printer to correct print quality issues.

Solution

When you see horizontal and/or vertical banding or white lines on your print, a print head alignment may resolve the problem.

Before you begin

  • First, complete an auto print head alignment on your printer. If you still see horizontal and/or vertical banding or white lines on your prints, you will need to align the print head manually.

  • Replace any ink tanks that are low on ink to ensure that print head alignment sheet prints correctly.

  • Load at least three sheets of paper in the lower paper tray. The upper paper tray (cassette) isn't used for print head alignment

    • Place the paper in the tray with the print / whiter side face down.

    • You can use A4 or Letter-sized plain paper or Matte photo paper MP-101.

  • Turn the printer ON, and open the paper output tray.
