Solution

Software update

Why won't RAW images open?
Many operating systems and computer programs include native support for RAW images, but some do not. In addition, some newer cameras are not supported by older versions of Digital Photo Professional.

Install or update Digital Photo Professional
If you do not have Digital Photo Professional and are having trouble viewing RAW images, install it from the EOS Digital Solution Disk (supplied with the camera) or download EOS Digital Solution Disk Software. Refer to the software instruction manuals for installation instructions.

Confirming the software version

If Digital Photo Professional is already installed on the computer, confirm the software version.
  1. Open the version of Digital Photo Professional installed on the computer.
  2. Select Help -> About.
  3. Check the latest version available on our website: EOS Digital Solution Disk Software.
  4. If yours is not up-to-date, refer to the software instruction manuals for installation instructions.
