Recharge the battery

1. Remove the discharged battery from the camera.
2. Attach the battery securely to the charger.
   
3. The design of battery chargers can be different. Flip out the prongs of the charger or attach the power cord and plug it into a power outlet. 
   
4. Recharging starts automatically and the charge lamp blinks in orange.

Good to know

• It takes approximatly 2.5 hours to fully recharge a completely exhausted battery at room temperature (23°C / 73°F). The time required to recharge the battery varies greatly depending on the ambient temperature and the remaining capacity.
• If you are not planning to recharge the battery, attach the protective cover.
• Use of genuine Canon accessories is recommended.
