Wireless Setup - Windows Computers

To be able to use the PIXMA TS series printer to print wirelessly on a Windows computer, the printer must first be connected to the Wireless Network and software drivers and applications installed on the computer.  The instructions /  screenshots  below show the setup program steps  when using the "Easy Wireless Connect" method to connect to the wireless network.

The setup process consists of 2 parts: 

1. Starting Easy Wireless Connect on the printer, and
2. Downloading and running the setup file to install the drivers and software.

 

1. Starting Easy wireless connect

Follow the procedure below to set up a printer.

Important

  • If a device is connected to the Internet via a wireless router, and you then connect it to a printer in Wireless Direct mode, the existing connection between the device and wireless router will be disabled. In that case, the connection of the device may switch to a mobile data connection automatically depending on your device. When you connect to the Internet using a mobile data connection, charges may apply depending on your contract.
  1. If the Wireless lamp (A) on the printer is flashing, press the ON/Stop button (B).

  2. Press and hold the Direct button (C) on the printer until the Direct lamp (D) flashes.

  3. Make sure the Wireless lamp flashes.

  4. Return to the application screen and proceed with the setup.

 

 

2. Download and run the setup file.*
 

Read the information carefully taking note how to run the setup file if setup does not start automatically. Then click the "Download" button.

*Setup can also be performed by using the Setup CD-ROM

Start setup. 

 

  1. Select Start Setup




     
  2. Select appropriate region and click Next




     
  3. Select Yes on the License Agreement.




     
  4. Select Agree or Do Not Agree to the Survey.



     
  5. Select Next





     
  6. Select Yes on the Connection Method. 




     
  7. Setup continues.  If the *Select wireless router screen (below) appears, select the wireless router to connect to the printer, enter the Network Key (password) and click Next.

    * The router being used and its network settings determines whether or not this screen appears



     
  8. Information appears




     
  9. Network Connection completed.  Click Next



     
  10. Head Alignment and Test Print screens appear next.  These can be performed or not.  If you choose to perform these, carefully follow the on-screen instructions.


     
  11. Setup complete.  Click Next




     
  12. Select any optional application software desired (Defaults, Clear All or select by checkbox).  Click Next




     
  13. Click Next




     
  14. Click Next or Skip




     
  15. Click Exit.
