Establish connection using a USB cable temporarily


Wireless Setup - Mac OS X Computers

To be able to use the PIXMA TS series printer to print or scan wirelessly on a Mac computer, the printer must first be connected to the Wireless Network and software drivers and applications installed on the computer. 

The instructions /  screenshots  below show an alternative setup method whereby a USB cable is connected temporarily to the printer and computer to set up the wireless connection

To begin the setup, first download the setup file

Read the information taking note of the information concerning warning messages that may appear during setup then click the "Download" button.


  1. Start setup.  Click Next on the first screen.


  2. Enter your computer User Name and Password then select Install Helper.

  3. Select Start Setup

  4. Select appropriate region and click Next

  5. Select Yes on the License Agreement.

  6. Select Agree or Do Not Agree to the Survey.

  7. Status check occurs

  8. Select Wireless LAN Connection on the Select Connection Method screen.  

  9. Click Next on Check Power

  10. Select Set up the network connection according to the guide and click Next.

  11. If an Online Manual page opens, close it and select Alternative Methods.

  12. Select Set up wireless connection using a USB cable and click Next.

  13. If an Online Manual page opens, close it. Click Next on Wireless Settings.

  14. Make sure the printer is powered on. Connect the printer to the computer with a USB cable. Click Next

  15. Network Connection completed.  Click Next

  16. Disconnect the USB cable. Click Next

  17. If the following appears, click Allow.

  18. Click Add Printer on the Add Printer screen

  19. On the Add screen, select the TS series with Bonjour Multifunction listed in the Kind column.  Select AirPrint or Secure AirPrint in the Use: dropdown list. 

  20. Click Next on the Add Printer screen.

  21. Click Next

  22. Setup complete.  Click Next

  23. Select any optional application software desired.  Click Next

  24. Click Next

  25. Click Next or Skip

  26. Select whether or not to create a shortcut for the manual.
  27. Click Exit.
