Learn how to connect your PIXMA TS5120 to your Windows computer with the use of a USB cable.

Solution

Follow the steps below to set up your printer with the USB cable.

Before you begin

  • The instructions show an alternative setup method where a USB cable is connected temporarily to the printer and computer to establish the wireless connection.

  • Setup can also be performed via the setup CD-ROM.
     

Install the software.

  1. Get the Setup File. Read the information carefully and take note how to run the setup file if setup doesn't start automatically.

  2. Select Start Setup.

    Select Start Setup.

  3. Select appropriate region and choose Next.

  4. Select Yes on the License Agreement.

  5. Select Agree or Do Not Agree to the survey. You can still continue the setup regardless of your choice.

  15. Connect the printer and computer with the USB cable.

  16. Network connection is complete. Select Next.

  17. Disconnect the USB cable.

  18. Print head alignment and test print screens appear next. These can be performed or not. If you choose to perform these, carefully follow the on-screen instructions.

  19. Setup is complete. Select Next.

  20. You can select optional application software. Defaults, Clear All, or select by checkbox. Choose Next when finished.
