By default, the date is added to the file name of any image saved in IJ Scan Utility. If you do not want the date to appear in the file name after scanning, follow the steps below.
-
From the IJ Scan Utility main window, click Settings....
-
Click on the appropriate scan option on the left of the Settings window (Document Scan, Auto Scan, etc.).
-
Place a check in the box for Save to a subfolder with current date.

-
Repeat this process for each scan option. Then, click OK.
When you scan after this option has been enabled, your image(s) will be saved into a subfolder in the location you specified in Save Settings. Inside the subfolder, you will find your image(s) without the date in the file name.
