 Note
  • The instructions below are for printers that have CUPS printer drivers (such as the PIXMA MG7720 or the MAXIFY MB5420).  If you have a printer that uses AirPrint (such as the PIXMA TS8220), you will need to access the Remote UI for your printer if you would like to perform maintenance operations from your computer.  Please click here for instructions on accessing the Remote UI.

To open the Canon IJ Printer Utility:
  1. From the Apple menu, click System Preferences.

  2. Click Print & Fax / Print & Scan / Printers & Scanners (the name will depend on which version of macOS you are running).

  3. Click on the listing for your printer on the left side of the window.  Then, click Options & Supplies....

  4. Click the Utility tab.  Then, click Open Printer Utility.

  5. The Canon IJ Printer Utility will open.  Here, you can click on the pop-up menu at the top left to access various options available for your printer.

Note: The available options will depend on your printer model.
