Printing onto Custom Size Paper

This section describes how to print onto custom size paper from the printer driver.
To change the default print settings, you must log on to your computer as a member of the Administrators group.
The display may differ according to the operating system, as well as the type and version of the printer driver.

Precautions When Printing onto Custom Size Paper

  • Registered custom paper sizes can be used with all printers installed on the computer you are using.
  • The range of possible custom paper sizes is printer-dependent. See [ Paper Handling ] for more details.
  • If you specify a custom paper size in an application, [Custom [Name Fixed]] is used temporarily as the custom paper size you specified in the application.
  • [Page Size], [Orientation], and other settings specified in the [Page Setup] sheet may not be valid when printing from certain applications. If these settings are not available, click the [File] menu, then click [Print Setup], [Page Setup], or a similar command in the application you are using to configure these settings.
  • The scaling setting, printing multiple pages on one page, or 2-sided printing functions may be unavailable, depending on the printer, when printing on custom paper.
  • You can register the paper size specified in the [Server Properties] dialog box accessed from the [Printers] or [Printers and Faxes] as a custom-size paper. In this case, enter a value of 0.20" - 2" (5 mm - 50 mm) for the left, right, top and bottom margin in [Printer Area Margins].
  • The available ranges of custom paper sizes are as follows.
