How to disable or enable IPv6 on the MG3520 / MG3522

This article shows how to disable or enable IPv6 on the PIXMA MG3520 / MG3522.

 

Solution

If you would like to disable the IPv6 setting on your PIXMA MG3520 / MG3522, follow the steps below.
  1. Print a Network Configuration Page.
     
  2. From a computer or mobile device, open a web browser and enter the printer's IPv4 address into the address bar.  This will bring you to the Remote UI.
     
  3. On the main screen, click or tap Network Configuration.


     
  4. When the Network Configuration page opens, click or tap Advanced.


     
  5. On the next screen, click or tap Network Settings.


     
  6. In the Network Settings screen, click or tap Disable IPv6.  Then, click or tap OK.


     
  7. The following will appear:



    Please note that after disabling the IPv6 setting, it is possible that your wireless router may assign a new IPv4 address to the printer.  You may need to print another network configuration page to confirm the IPv4 address.

IPv6 will now be disabled.

If you wish to re-enable IPv6, follow steps 1-5.  When you get to the Network Settings page, click or tap Use IPv6 and then click or tap OK.



Please note that after enabling the IPv6 setting, it is possible that your wireless router may assign a new IPv4 address to the printer.  You may need to print another network configuration page to confirm the IPv4 address.

IPv6 will now be enabled.
