Wireless Setup


As an alternative to other setup methods, the wireless connection can be established by temporarily connecting a USB cable between the computer and MX922 Printer.  Follow the steps below:
  1. In the Drivers download page, download  the CUPS Driver and Scanner Driver for your operating system.  In Software, download the Canon IJ Network Tool.
     
  2. Install the files
     
    1. Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.

    2. Double-click the mounted Disk Image.

    3. Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
     
  3. Connect a USB cable between the computer and printer.  Make sure the printer is powered on.

     
  4. Start the Network tool (Applications->Canon Utilities->IJ Network Tool->Canon IJ Network Tool)


     
  5. Select Setup in the dropdown list.


     
  6. Select MX920 series with USB in Connected to.  Click OK


     
  7. Select Wireless LAN.  Click OK


     
  8. If the Confirm Connection Wireless Router screen appears, click Yes.


     
  9. Click OK


     
  10. Select Canon MX920 series with Canon IJ Network in the Kind column.  Click Add.


     
  11. Disconnect the USB cable.

    Setup is complete.
