Solution

Why are my images tinted when I print in Photoshop?

If you experienced tinted printing in Photoshop, this may be caused by:
  1. Clogged nozzles

If you have clogged nozzles in your printer, this can cause tinting in your prints (such as a magenta cast, yellow cast, etc.).  You may need to perform a print head cleaning or deep cleaning to resolve this issue (or, if you have an empty ink tank, you will need to replace it).

To confirm if a print head nozzle is clogged, print a nozzle check pattern.  Click one of the following links for instructions on printing a nozzle check pattern for your printer or cleaning the print head:

  2. Double Color Management

When printing with an ICC profile in Photoshop, the printer driver's color management must be disabled.

When specifying an ICC profile in Photoshop on the Mac, the printer driver will automatically disable its color management.
