Your PIXMA G4200 can be configured to connect to a wireless network for use with a Windows PC, a Mac, an iOS device, or an Android device. To manually enter in the information for your wireless network, refer to the information below.

With the printer powered on, press the Setup button.
The Setup menu will appear.

Wireless LAN setup will be the first option displayed in this menu. Press OK.

In the Wireless LAN setup menu, press the right arrow until Manual connect appears. Press OK.

The printer will search for nearby wireless networks.
Use the left or right arrows to cycle through the list of detected networks. When you find your network, press OK twice.

You will be asked to enter your network passphrase (also known as the network password).
On this screen, use the numeric keypad on the printer to enter your passphrase.
Pressing the Tone key will toggle between entering lowercase letters, uppercase letters, and numbers.
Refer to the table below for information on what keys to press to enter various letters and symbols.

You will have to press a given number a certain amount of times to enter various letters. For example, to enter the letter F, press the number 3 three times.
If your passphrase contains two letters that are accessed by the same number, enter the first letter, then press the right arrow , then enter the next letter. For example, if the passphrase has the letter R followed by the letter S, press the number 7 three times, then press the right arrow , then press the number 7 four times.
To delete a character that you have entered, press the left arrow to move the cursor underneath the character you wish to delete. Then, press the back button to delete that character. Press the right arrow until the cursor has been moved back to where it was at.
When you have finished entering your network passphrase, press OK.

The printer will attempt to connect to the network.
When the printer has connected to the network, press OK.
If the printer fails to connect, try re-entering your network passphrase.
After the printer has been connected to the network, you can set up a Windows PC, a Mac, an iOS device, or an Android device to work with your printer.
Important
- If your Mac is running macOS 10.15 or later, you will need to download and install the CUPS printer driver, the ICA driver, and IJ Scan Utility from the Canon USA website.
