Where do I find what I just scanned? (macOS)

This article provides information on where scanned images and documents are saved to by default when using IJ Scan Utility2 on macOS.

 

Solution

IJ Scan Utility Save Location

By default, scanned images, documents, etc. are saved automatically in the Pictures folder on your Mac.

This location can also be User-Specified in the Save in section of the Save Settings. 

 These settings can be found  as follows:
  1. Select Applications from Go menu of Finder, and then double-click Canon Utilities > IJ Scan Utility > Canon IJ Scan Utility2 icon to start IJ Scan Utility.

     
  2. Click the Settings button




     
  3. Select any of the options (Auto Scan, Photo Scan, etc.) under the    (Scanning from a Computer) tab.

     
  4. Find Save in in the Save Settings 



     
Save in

Displays the folder in which to save the scanned images. 

To add a folder, select Add... from the drop-down menu, then click  (Plus) in the displayed dialog and specify the destination folder.

 

The default save folder is the Pictures folder.
