The procedure for shrinking the resolution of an image and saving it as a new image is explained below.
IMPORTANT
  • Image editing is only available when the memory card has sufficient free space.
  • The instructions are given using PowerShot SX740 HS as an example. The position and shape of the operation buttons, the screens displayed, and the settings will differ depending on your device model.

 

 

1. Press the button.

 

 

2. Press the / buttons and choose the image to resize.

 

 

3. Press the button to display the Quick Control Screen.

 

 

4. Press the / buttons, to choose (Resize).

 

 

5. Press the / buttons to choose the size, then press the button.

IMPORTANT
Editing is not possible for images shot at a recording pixel setting of [ S ] .
NOTE
Images cannot be resized to a higher number of recording pixels.

 

 

6. Press the / buttons to choose [ OK ] , then press the button.
The image is now saved as a new file.

 

 

7. Message will be displayed, press the button.
