Learn how to use the Easy Wireless Connect method to set up your PIXMA TR4520 / TR4522 on a wireless network (LAN) for use with your Windows PC.


To print or scan wirelessly from a Windows PC, you will need to connect the printer to a Wi-Fi network, then install the printer drivers and software on your computer.

Written Instructions

There are two parts to the setup:

  1. Start Easy Wireless Connect on your printer.

  2. Download and run the setup file to install the drivers and software on your computer.

1. Start Easy Wireless Connect on your printer

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned ON.

  2. Press and hold the Menu/Wireless connect button for 3 seconds.

  3. When the following screen displays, the printer is ready to receive the information needed to connec to the wireless network.

2. Download and run the setup file on your computer

Read the information, taking note of warning messages that may appear during setup, then select the Download button.

Note You can also use the Setup CD that came with your printer to install the software.

  1. ‚ÄčGet the Setup File and click Start Setup.

    Note If you use the Setup CD, you will see the Use the updated software found on Internet option. If you check the box, the latest driver and software versions will automatically be used. Remove the check from the box if you don't wish to do this, then select Start Setup.

  2. Read the network security notice, then select Next.

  3. Select the appropriate region, then select Next.

  4. Read the license agreement and select Yes to continue with the installation.

  5. Select Agree or Do Not Agree to the information request.

  6. Select Yes to confirm the connection method.

  7. Setup continues.

  8. When the Network connection completes, select Next.

     If the printer is not detected, make sure that the computer is connected to the correct wireless network. If the computer is connected to the correct network, you may need to open ports in your firewall that may be blocked. Also, if you are using a dual-band router, further troubleshooting information can be found here.

  9. Driver installation occurs. Wait for the process to finish.

  10. Information appears.

  11. Select Start if you want to perform a test print or Next to continue.

  12. Check the box next to Set as default printer if you wish to use this as your main printer.

    Select Next to proceed. 

    Note If you select Abort, it will take you back to the main screen. The printer driver will be installed, but you won't have any additional software installed.

  13. Select any additional software you'd like, then Next.

  14. Additional software installs. This may take several minutes.

  15. Select Next.

  16. Select Exit. The installation is complete. The printer is ready for use from your Windows PC.
