Use the Easy Wireless Connect method to connect a PIXMA TS6220 to a wireless network (LAN) using a Mac.

Lean how to use the Easy Wireless Connect method to connect your PIXMA TS6220 wirelessly.

Note Instructions in this article are for a Mac computer.  For a Windows computer, click here for instructions.

Note First the printer must be connected to the wireless network, then applications must be installed on the computer.

 

The setup process consists of 2 parts.

  1. Start Easy Wireless Connect.
  2. Download and run the setup files.

 

1. Start Easy Wireless Connect

  1. Select Wireless connect (A).

    HOME screen: Select Wireless connect

  2. Tap Yes.

    Easy wireless connect screen: Select Yes

  3. When the printer preparation is complete, the screen below appears.

    Note It may take time until the printer is detected and the screen changes.

    Easy wireless connect screen: Follow the instructions on the computer or smartphone, etc. to perform the operation.




2. Download and run the setup file

Follow the link to get the setup file, select the version that matches your operating system and tap Setup icon .  Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with setup.
Double-click the downloaded .dmg file if setup icon did not appear.

 If you see a message like this:

Select OK. Then, control-click on the setup file, select Open, then select Open in the error message window. This will allow the setup program to proceed.

  1. Tap Next.

    Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed with the setup program

  2. Enter the network password and tap Install Helper.

    Enter your user name and password for the computer, then click Install Helper (outlined in red)

  3. Select Start Setup.

    Click Start Setup (outlined in red) to begin the setup program

  4. Tap Next.

    Before You Continue screen: Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed

  5. Select region and tap Next.

    Select your country or region, then click Next (outlined in red)

  6. Select Yes.

    Read the license agreement, then click Yes (outlined in red) to proceed

  7. Select Yes.

    Make sure your printer appears in this screen, then click Yes (outlined in red) to proceed

  8. Tap Add Printer.

    Add Printer screen: Click Add Printer (outlined in red)

  9. Select your printer series with Bonjour Multifunction listed in the Kind column and tap Add.

    Select your printer with Bonjour Multifunction listed in the Kind column and click Add (outlined in red)

  10. Tap Next.

    Add Printer screen: Click Next (outlined in red)

  11. Tap Next.

    Test Print screen: Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed

  12. Tap Next on Setup Complete.

    Setup Complete screen: Click Next (outlined in red)

  13. Select any optional software you wish to install and tap Next.

    Software Installation List: Select any software you want to install, then click Next (outlined in red)

  14. Tap Next.

    You Can Print from a Smartphone or Tablet screen: Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed

  15. Select to Register Now or Skip.

    Printer Registration screen: Click Skip or Register Now (outlined in red) to proceed

  16. Select if you want to Create Shortcut to the online manual and tap Next.

    Choose whether or not to create a shortcut for the online manual, then click Next (outlined in red)

  17. Tap Exit.

    Installation completed successfully. Click Exit (outlined in red) to proceed
