Calibrate Measuring Instrument

The Calibrate Measuring Instrument screen allows you to perform the calibration for the measuring instrument.

Make sure to perform the calibration for the measuring instrument before you start measuring the chart with it.

When using the ColorMunki series

1.Check the connection to the measuring instrument.

Check the connection to the measuring instrument if "Connect the measuring instrument." message is displayed.

2.Set the Rotary Disk of the measuring instrument to the calibration position.

3.Click Calibrate Measuring Instrument.

You can also start the calibration by pressing the Measure button in the middle of the measuring instrument.

"Calibrating the measuring instrument..." message is displayed and the calibration is started.
Calibration of the measuring instrument takes about 6 seconds.

4.Click Next if "Measuring instrument was successfully calibrated." message is displayed.

Repeat the calibration from step 1 if "Failed to calibrate the measuring instrument. Try again." message is displayed.

When using the i1 series

1.Check the connection to the measuring instrument.

Check the connection to the measuring instrument if "Connect the measuring instrument." message is displayed.

2.Place the measuring instrument on the calibration base plate.

The calibration base plate comes with the measuring instrument. For details, refer to the quick start guide and help for the measuring instrument.

3.Click Calibrate Measuring Instrument.

You can also start the calibration by pressing the switch at the left of the measuring instrument.

"Calibrating the measuring instrument..." message is displayed and the calibration is started.
The calibration takes approximately 10 seconds.

4.Click Next if "Measuring instrument was successfully calibrated." message is displayed.

Repeat the calibration from step 1 if "Failed to calibrate the measuring instrument. Try again." message is displayed.
