WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) Push Button Method - PIXMA TS8220

WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) is a method that allows you to easily connect network devices to a secure wireless network. You do not need to know your SSID or password (network key) when using this method. If you have a Wireless access point or router that supports WPS, you can easily connect your Canon wireless printer to your home network.

  1. Tap Network (A).

  2. Tap Wi-Fi.

  3. Tap Settings.

  4. Tap Wi-Fi setup.

  5. Tap WPS (Push button method).

  6. Tap OK.

  7. Press and hold the WPS button on the wireless router.

     Not all wireless routers have this button. If your router doesn't have it, you can connect the printer by manually selecting your wireless network.

  8. Tap OK on the printer within 2 minutes.

    If a different screen appears, see "Troubleshooting."

  9. When the screen on the below appears, tap OK.

  10. Tap HOME on the left side of the screen.

    The network connection setup is now complete.

    When connection is complete, Network appears at the bottom left of the screen.

  11. macOS

    Return to the application software and proceed with the setup.

    Click Setup icon in the Dock, follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with setup.
