Description

Here are some basic steps to walk through restoring network communication with your printer.  This may help if you receive messages such as Printer is Offline or Printer Not Responding when attempting to print.

Solution

If your printer suddenly stops working on your network, try the following steps to restore network connectivity.

 Note
  • If there has been a change on your network (new wireless router, a change in your network name or password), these steps may not apply if you have not already reconfigured your printer's network settings.

  1. Turn off your printer and unplug its power cord.

  2. Unplug the power cord(s) for your wireless router and modem.  Leave the power cord(s) unplugged for 30 seconds.

  3. Plug the wireless router and modem back in.

  4. Plug the printer's power cord in and turn on the printer.

This may re-establish the printer's network connection and allow you to use the printer without reconfiguring the printer or reinstalling any drivers / software.
