Print Studio Pro is a Adobe Photoshop plug-in for Mac® that makes professional photo printing easy and convenient.

With Print Studio Pro you can:

  • Print bordered or borderless photos.

  • Perform index printing.

  • Print in black-and-white.

  • Print using ICC profiles.

  • Adjust margins or add text.

 

To install Print Studio Pro, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Canon Support website and enter your printer model name in the search box.

  2. Wait a moment, then select your model name when it appears under the box.

  3. When the support page appears, select the Software & Drivers button.

  4. If your version of macOS® isn't detected automatically, select it. Then, select Software & Utilities under Download Type.

     The version of Print Studio Pro you will download depends on the version of macOS® that is installed on your computer.

  5. Scroll down to the listing for Print Studio Pro, then select Download.

  6. Open the file after it downloads to your computer. Then check your computer desktop for the package file. Double-click on it to begin installation.

  7. Select Continue and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Note You may be asked to enter your account password.

  8. From the Go menu of Finder, select Applications, then double-click on the Canon Utilities folder, Print Studio Pro folder, then the Plug-In Install icon.

  9. The Plug-In Install program detects supported versions of Photoshop installed on your computer. Select Yes to install the plug-in.

    If asked, enter your account password then select OK.

    Note If you have multiple versions of Photoshop, you will be prompted to install the plug-in for each version. Select Yes to install the plug-in, or No to decline.
    If the installer doesn't detect a version of Photoshop, select Next to install it manually.

  10. After the plug-in installs, select Exit to end the installation program.

  11. Choose Browse to locate the plug-in folder for your supported version of Photoshop. Choose your application, then select Exit.

  12. Depending on the version of Photoshop you want to install the plug-in for, browse to the version's Plug-ins folder, then select Open.

  13. Select Next.

    Click Browse button, choose the compatible app radio button, then click on the Next button.

    Note You may be asked to enter your account password.

  14. Select OK.

    Installation complete. Select OK.

  15. Select Exit to exit the Plug-in Installer program.
     

How to use the plug-in

  1. Launch Photoshop on your computer.

  2. Open an image to print.

  3. From the File menu, choose:

    Photoshop/Photoshop Elements
    Click Automate > Canon Print Studio Pro....

    Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
    Click Plug-in Extras > Canon Print Studio Pro....

    Print Studio Pro launches.
