Advanced Audio Input Settings

Operating modes:

Low-Cut Filter (Built-in Microphone)
If you selected [Built-in Mic] as the audio input for an audio channel, you can activate the built-in microphone's low-cut filter.
1 Select [Built-in Mic Low Cut].

2 Select the desired option and then press SET.

Options
[Off]: For recording audio under usual conditions.
[LC1]: For recording mainly people’s voices.
[LC2]: For reducing the background sound of wind when recording outdoors in windy surroundings (for example, on a beach or close to buildings). Note that when you use this setting some low frequency
sounds may be suppressed along with the sound of wind.

Microphone Sensitivity (Built-in Microphone)​
If you selected [Built-in Mic] as the audio input for an audio channel, you can adjust select the built-in microphone's sensitivity.
1 Select [Built-in Mic Sensitivity].

2 Select the desired option and then press SET.

Options
[Normal]: For recording audio under usual conditions.
[High]: For recording audio at a higher volume (+6 dB).

Microphone Attenuator (Built-in Microphone)
If you selected [Built-in Mic] as the audio input for an audio channel, you can activate the built-in microphone's attenuator (12 dB).
1 Select [Built-in Mic Att.].

2 Select [On] and then press SET.

Microphone Sensitivity (INPUT Terminals)
If you selected [INPUT Terminals] as the audio input for an audio channel, one of the INPUT switches is set to ANALOG, and the corresponding ANALOG switch is set to MIC or MIC+48V, you can select the external microphone’s sensitivity.
1 Select the menu setting for the INPUT terminal used.

2 Select the desired level and then press SET.
• You can select one of 5 sensitivity levels from –12 dB to +12 dB.

Microphone Attenuator (INPUT Terminals)
If you selected [INPUT Terminals] as the audio input for an audio channel, one of the INPUT switches is set to ANALOG, and the corresponding ANALOG switch is set to MIC or MIC+48V, you can activate the external microphone’s attenuator (20 dB).
1 Select the menu setting for the INPUT terminal used.

2 Select [On] and then press SET.

Microphone Attenuator (MIC Terminal)
If you selected [MIC Terminal] as the audio input for an audio channel, you can activate the external microphone's attenuator (20 dB).
1 Select [MIC Att.].

2 Select [On] and then press SET.

Low-Cut Filter (MIC Terminal)
If you selected [MIC Terminal] as the audio input for an audio channel, you can activate the external microphone's low-cut filter.
1 Select [MIC Low Cut].

2 Select [On] and then press SET.
  • When you activate the low-cut filter, some low-frequency sounds may be suppressed along with the sound of wind
