How do I configure multiple computers for my DR scanner on a network

Description

Using the Driver Setting Tool, you can create the configuration and distribute it to multiple PCs at one time.

Configuration includes :

  • Turn off automatically after 4 hours
  • Long document mode
  • Show "Roller Exchange" dialog on the PC
  • Change Driver's default settings
  • Add the new resolution
  • Etc. as you see in "Control" tab in the tool

Solution

  1. Create the configuration as you like, using "Control" tab on the tool.
    NOTE: After you changed something, don't forget to click the "Apply" button.
         
     
  2. Export the configuration using "Export..." button and name the file "custom.ini".
    NOTE: No other names are allowed and only use lower case characters.
     
  3. Put the "custom.ini" file in the Driver's Installer's root folder (see screenshot below), and then execute the driver installer.

    NOTE: After you install the driver, the configuration will automatically be applied.
     
  4. If you have already installed the driver, simply put the "custom.ini" in the following folder:
     
    • 32bit OS
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Canon Electronics\
    • 64bit OS
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Canon Electronics\
    • The depends on the model you have (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Canon Electronics\DRM200).
       
    The Configuration will be applied when you plug the scanner into the computer.
