Solution

IP Streaming
After connecting the camcorder to a network, you can stream the camcorder’s live video and audio* over IP to a compatible IP video decoder** connected to the network. You can use IP streaming for live broadcasts or to send a news flash report from a location with poor network connectivity. 
While IP streaming is activated, internal recording to an SD card in the camcorder is disabled but recording to an external device is possible.
* Only 2 channels. During 4-channel audio recording, you can select which two channels to stream over IP.

Operating modes:

IP Streaming Settings
Before you can stream video over IP, you need to configure settings related to the transfer like the protocol and port number to use. You can also select the configuration of the streamed video.
Camcorder Settings
1 Configure an Ethernet network connection 
2 Select [IP Streaming Settings].

3 To select the video streaming configuration, select [Streaming Output Signal].
  • Select the desired option and then press SET.
4 To select the audio streaming channels, select [Audio Out Channels].
  • Select the desired option and then press SET.
5 Select [Protocol].
  • Select the desired option and then press SET.
  • If you selected [RTP+FEC], complete the error correction settings 
Options
[UDP]: This protocol prioritizes transfer speeds but does not guarantee the reliability/integrity of the data. Lost or delayed IP packets are ignored.
[RTP]: Standard protocol for video/audio broadcasts over the Internet. Lost or delayed IP packets are ignored.
[RTP+FEC]: This setting uses the RTP protocol and adds a layer of FEC error correction so the receiving side* can recover lost or delayed IP packets.
* A decoder compatible with FEC error correction is required.

Receiver Settings
1 Select [IP Streaming Settings].

2 Select [Dest. IP Address] and enter the IP address assigned to the decoder.
  • Push the joystick up/down to select a value for the first field of the address and then press SET to move to the next field. After completing the four fields of the address, select [Set] and then press SET.
3 To change the port number, select [Dest. Port No.].
  • To enter the po rt number, push the joystick left/right to select the digit to change and then up/down to select a value for the selected digit. After completing the five digits of the port number, select [Set] and then press SET.
  • Using the default port number is recommended.

FEC Error Correction Settings
1 Select [IP Streaming Settings].

2 To enter the port number used for FEC packets, select [FEC Port No.].
  • To enter the port number, push the joystick left/right to select the digit to change and then up/down to select a value for the selected digit. After completing the five digits of the port number, select [Set] and then press SET.
  • Using the default port number is recommended.
3 To change the interval for FEC packets, select [FEC Interval].
  • Select the desired option and then press SET.

Streaming Video over IP
1 Connect the decoder to the network and complete any necessary configurations on the receiving side so the decoder is ready to receive video over IP. 
  • For details refer to the instruction manual of the decoder device or software you will use.
2 Select the desired network 
  • Use an Ethernet connection and connect the camcorder to the desired network using an Ethernet cable.
3 Activate IP streaming on the camcorder.

4 When the confirmation message appears, select [OK] and then press SET. 
  • and wll appear at the top of the screen. When the icons turn white, the camcorder will start streaming video over the selected network.
5 When you have finished streaming the desired video, turn off the network functions.
  • The network icons will turn yellow and then disappear from the screen.
NOTES
  • While IP streaming is activated, the camcorder will continue to broadcast video and audio data over the IP network, regardless of the status of the receiver. The streamed data is not encoded. Be careful to set up the correct IP address and test in advance that the receiving decoder can indeed receive the signals.
  • Depending on the network used and the connection conditions, you may experience lost or delayed IP packets
  • After streaming video continuously for 24 hours, the camcorder will stop the IP streaming momentarily and then restart it automatically.
