Taking Photos
You can record photos to SD card B (only) when the camcorder is in record standby mode. The photo size is the same, regardless of the video configuration currently in use.


Operating modes:

1 Set an assignable button to [Photo] .
2 When the camcorder is in record standby mode, press the assignable button to take a photo.
•  and the number of available photos appear at the top right of the screen. The maximum number of
available photos displayed on the screen is 9999.
• The SD CARD  access indicator will illuminate in red as the photo is being recorded.
• You can also press the PHOTO button on the supplied wireless controller.
IMPORTANT
• Observe the following precautions while the SD CARD access indicator is illuminated in red. Failure to do
so may result in permanent data loss.
- Do not open the SD CARD card slot cover and do not remove the card.
- Do not disconnect the power source or turn off the camcorder.

NOTES

• Photos cannot be taken in the following cases:

• If the LOCK switch on the SD card is set to prevent writing, you will not be able to record photos. Change the position of the LOCK switch in advance.

Photo Numbering
Photos are automatically assigned consecutive numbers and stored on the SD card in folders. You can select the photo numbering method to be used.
1 Select [Photo Numbering].

2 Select the desired option and then press SET


Options
[Reset]: Photo numbers will restart from 100-0001 every time you insert a new card. If a card already contains previous recordings, photo numbers will continue from the number following that of the last photo on the card.
[Continuous]: Photo numbers will continue from the number following that of the last photo recorded with the camcorder. This setting is the most convenient for managing files on a computer. We recommend using the [Continuous] setting.


Understanding folder names
• An example folder name is “101_1103”. The first 3 digits indicate the folder number (from 100 to 999) and the last 4 digits indicate the month and day when the folder was created. In the example, the folder numbered 101 was created on November 3.
Understanding photo numbers
• An example photo number is “101-0107”. The first 3 digits indicate the folder number where the photo is stored and the last 4 digits indicate the consecutive number assigned to the photo (from 0001 to 9999).
• The photo number also indicates the name and location of the file on the card. For example, a photo numbered 101-0107 that was recorded on November 3, is located in the “DCIM\101_1103” folder as the file “IMG_0107.JPG”.

NOTES
• Each folder can contain up to 500 files. When that number is exceeded, a new folder is created automatically
