1. Click here.  Click the Download button to download the software installer for your printer.  After the file has finished downloading, open it.  Then, double click the Setup icon in the window to launch the installer.
   
   
    
2. A prompt will appear asking you if you want to open the setup program.  Click Open.
   
   
    
3. When the installer begins, click Next.
   
   
    
4. You will be asked to enter in your computer's password so that a helper tool for the setup program can be installed.  Enter your computer's password and click Install Helper.
   
   
    
5. At the main menu of the setup program, click Start Setup.
   
   
    
6. On the Before You Continue screen, click Next to proceed.
   
   
    
7. The setup program will obtain information on the latest software.  This may take several minutes.
   
   
    
8. You will be asked to select your country or region.  After selecting this, click Next.
   
   
    
9. Read the license agreement.  Click Yes to accept the terms of the agreement and proceed with the installation.  If you click No, you will not be able to proceed with the installation.
   
   
    
10. The next screen will explain how we use some product information to develop and market products and services that better meet our customers' needs.  If you wish to provide this information, click Agree.  If not, click Do not agree.  Please note that this is optional.
    
    
    
    If you click Do not agree, the following message will appear.
    
    
    
    Click OK to proceed.
     
11. The setup program will process for a few moments.
    
    
     
12. The setup program will then check the printer's status.  This may take a few moments.
    
    
     
13. At the Select Connection Method screen, click USB Connection (USB Cable).  Then, click Next.
    
    
     
14. Connect the printer to your Mac with a USB cable.
    
    
     
15. The setup program will process for a few moments.
    
    
     
16. On the Test Print screen, click Execute to perform a test print.  Click Next to proceed.
    
    
     
17. On the Setup Complete screen, click Next.
    
    
     
18. The Software Installation List will appear.  Place a check in the box for each item that you would like to download and install.  Click Next to proceed.
    
    
     
19. If you have chosen to install any software, it will be downloaded and installed.  This may take several minutes.
    
    
     
20. On the You Can Print from a Smartphone or Tablet screen, click Next to proceed.  Clicking Instructions will take you here.
    
    
    
    The setup program will process for a few moments.
    
    
     
21. On the Printer Registration screen, you can register your printer if you wish to do so.  Click Register Now to register your printer.  Click Skip to move to the next step in the setup program.
    
    
     
22. You will be asked if you want to create a shortcut that will open the online manual for your printer.  If you wish to create a shortcut, click the radio button for Create shortcut.  Click the radio button for Do not create shortcut if you do not want a shortcut to the online manual on your desktop.  Then, click Next.
    
    
     
23. Click Exit.
