Setting Backlight Compensation
You can correct the image when the subject appears too dark due to backlight.
1 Select the Manual recording mode.
- If the mode is
Intelligent Auto, tap on the recording screen to display the mode switching screen.
- Tap
to switch the recording mode to Manual.
2 Tap “MENU”.
3 Tap “RECORD SETTING”.
4 Tap “BACKLIGHT COMP.”.
- Tap
to exit the menu.
- Tap
to return to the previous screen.
5 Tap “ON” or “ADVANCE”.
- “ADVANCE” is designed to perform more effective backlight compensation. Choose this when the backlight compensation is not adjusted appropriately by “ON”.
- After setting, the
icon (Advance: 
) appears.
