Description

This article will show you how to connect your PIXMA MG6320 to a wireless LAN by directly entering in your network information on the operation panel.

Solution

Your PIXMA MG6320 can be connected to a wireless LAN by using the Standard setup (also known as Manual connect) method.  This will allow you to directly enter in your wireless LAN's password on the operation panel.  Follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network using this method.
  1. From the HOME screen, swipe from right to left and tap WLAN setup.

The printer will search for nearby networks.

In some instances, you may see the following screens:

You will then be asked to tap Start setup or To other connection methods.  Tap to other connection methods.

  2. Tap Standard setup.

  3. Scroll through the list of networks.  Tap on the name of your network to proceed.

Note: If you do not see your network in the list, tap Search again.

  4. On the Enter passphrase screen, tap the screen.

  5. Using the on-screen keyboard, enter in the passphrase (also known as password) for your wireless network.  Tap Apply after you have entered in the passphrase.

  6. You will return to the Enter passphrase screen.  You will see the passphrase that you entered.  Tap OK to continue.  If you wish to edit the passphrase, tap the passphrase itself.  Make any changes as needed, then tap Apply.  Tap OK to continue.

  7. The printer will attempt to connect to your network.

After it has connected, tap OK.

The printer is now connected to your network.

If the printer failed to connect to your network, click here.

If you have not installed the drivers and / or software for your printer, you can use the setup CD-ROM to install the drivers and software, or you can download the drivers and software from our website.

    Windows:

Under the Drivers tab, download and install the MG6300 MP Drivers.

Under the Software tab, download and install either My Image Garden or Easy-PhotoPrint EX.

    macOS:

Under the Drivers tab, download and install all of the drivers shown.

Under the Software tab, download and install My Image Garden and the Canon IJ Network Tool.

For versions of macOS earlier than 10.14, you can download Easy-PhotoPrint EX if desired.

You will need to click the Apple menu, then go into System Preferences.  Go to Printers and Scanners, click the plus sign on the left side of the window, and add the Canon IJ Network listing for the printer to add it to your printer list.

If the printer fails to connect to your network, tap OK and make sure that you have entered in your passphrase correctly.  If everything is correct, turn off the printer, unplug it, and unplug your wireless router.  Wait for 30 seconds, then plug the router back in.  After the router has finished initializing, plug the printer back in, turn it on, and attempt to connect again.
