Please follow the procedure to install and remove the battery from the EOS 1D Mark IV.

Solution

Installing the battery

1. Remove the battery compartment cap.

2. Insert the battery.

  • Insert the battery firmly all the way, and turn the release handle as shown by the arrow.

Removing the battery

1. Flip out the battery release handle and turn it as shown by the arrow.

2. Pull out the battery.

  • To prevent shorting, be sure to attach the protective cover to the battery.
  • When not using the camera, attach the battery component cover.
