Delete and then re-add the printer for errors such as Error 300

Solution

You may be able to clear OS X errors such as Error 300 by deleting then re-adding the printer in System Preferences
  1. Open Printers & Scanners in System Preferences


     
  2. Click the Minus (-) to delete the printer


     
  3. Confirm the deletion


     
  4. Click the Plus (+)


     
  5. Select the printer and click Add to add it back to the printers list
