Installing and removing the battery on the EOS Digital Rebel XT

Solution

Load a fully charged Battery Pack NB-2LH into the camera.

Installing the battery.

1. Open the battery compartment.

  • Slide the lever as shown by the arrow and open the cover.

2. Insert the battery.

  • Point the battery contacts downward.
  • Insert the battery until it locks into place.

3. Close the cover.

  • Press the cover until it snaps shut.
 
Removing the battery

1. Open the battery compartment.

  • Slide the lever as shown by the arrow and open the cover.

2. Remove the battery.

  • Slide the battery lock lever as shown by the arrow and remove the battery.
  • To prevent shorting, be sure to attach the protective cover to the battery.
