Description

This article explains how to print the LAN details for the PIXMA MP800R.

 

Solution

You can print out the network settings of the machine such as its IP address and SSID.

 Important
  • This print out contains valuable information about your computer. Handle it with care. 

Follow these steps to print the LAN details for your printer:
  1. Press the power button to turn on the machine. 
     
  2. Press the Menu button. 
     
  3. Use the left or right arrow to select Maintenance / settings, then press OK
     
  4. Use the left or right arrow to select Device settings, then press OK.
     
  5. Use the left or right arrow to select LAN settings, then press OK.
     
  6. Use the left or right arrow to select Print LAN details, then press OK.

The following information on the machine's network setting is printed out. 
  • Printer name
     
  • Firmware version
     
  • Wireless LAN ("Enabled" or "Disabled")
     
    • Standard
       
    • Destination
       
    • MAC address
       
    • Network type
       
    • SSID
       
    • Channel 
       
    • Encryption (encryption type or "OFF")
       
    • Authentication
       
    • Attached Information
       
    • Link status
       
    • Signal Strength
       
    • Link Quality
       
    • Transmission Rate
       
  • TCP/IP
    • Mode
       
    • IP Address
       
    • Subnet Mask
       
    • Default Gateway
 
  • Wired LAN ("Enabled" or "Disabled")
    • MAC address
       
    • Link status
       
    • Transmission Rate
 
  • TCP/IP 
    • Mode
       
    • IP Address
       
    • Subnet Mask
       
    • Default Gateway
 
  • Printer access control
    • MAC address ("ON" or "OFF")
       
    • IP address ("ON" or "OFF")
 
  • Admin password ("ON" or "OFF")
     
  • Device status (usually "Available")

Information on the computer's network setting is printed as well. 

 Note
  • Some items may not be printed out depending on your printer settings or printer status.
     
  • The printer has two different MAC addresses. For settings, use one of them depending on your connection type (wireless LAN or wired LAN).
