Description

Plain paper pulling from wrong source

Solution

If you are attempting to print on plain paper and the printer attempts to feed from the wrong source (for example, if you have paper loaded in the cassette but the printer attempts to feed from the rear tray), you can adjust a setting in the printer driver to prevent this from occurring.  Follow the instructions below to adjust this setting.

  1. Open the printer driver setup window.

  2. On the Page Setup tab, click Print Options....

  3. Place a check in the box for Disable the paper source setting of the application software.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Click OK on the Printing Preferences window.

  6. Open a document and print it.
If you had a document open (such as a Microsoft Word document), you may need to close and re-open the document for the change to take effect.
