This error appears when you are pairing your printer to your wireless network via the Easy Wireless Connect method, and the setup has timed out before the connection is established.

This may fail because:

  • The Easy Wireless Connect process timed out (this happens after one hour)

  • Your computer or mobile device may be connected to a Virtual Private Network (VPN)

  • You are trying to use a guest network

  • The printer and router are too far from each other

  • Devices may be interfering with wireless communication

What to Do

To rid the printer of the error, press the printer's OK button or restart the printer.

If you still need to connect your printer to the network, initiate Easy Wireless Connect again, and try once more to establish a wireless connection.

  • If the error persists, you can use a different method to set up a Wi-Fi® connection. Please see this article for alternate Wireless Setup Help methods.
