Description

Print the nozzle check pattern to determine whether the ink ejects properly from the print head nozzle.

Solution

If you're experiencing poor print quality such as banded / streaked prints, tinted printing (too blue, green, yellow, etc.), or if nothing appears on the paper when printing, you may need to print the nozzle check pattern to determine if the print head nozzles are clogged.

If the remaining ink level is low, the nozzle check pattern will not be printed correctly. Replace the ink tank whose ink is low.

You need to prepare: a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on.

  2. Load a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the cassette.

  3. Press the OK button.

  4. Select Maintenance and press the OK button.

  5. Select Nozzle Check.

    The confirmation screen will appear.

  6. Select Yes.

  7. Press the OK button.

The paper output tray is pulled out automatically.

The nozzle check pattern will be printed and two pattern confirmation screens will appear on the LCD.

  8. Select Next.

  9. Examine the nozzle check pattern.
