How do I print from my iPhone / iPod Touch?

 

Solution

If your iPhone or iPod Touch is running iOS 13, follow these instructions if you want to print via AirPrint.

 Note
  • The following screenshots were taken from an iPhone 8 Plus.  Layouts may vary depending on your iOS device.
     
  • For information on canceling an item that is printing, please click here

 Important
  • AirPrint works with Wi-Fi or wired network connections.  AirPrint is not supported with an iOS device connected to the USB port of an AirPort base station or Time Capsule, or to a computer via Bluetooth.
     
  • Make sure that your printer supports AirPrint.  For a list of printers with AirPrint support, please click here.
 

How do I start printing?

 
  1. Tap the Share icon.
    Depending on the app you are using, it may look like one of the following.

     

    Please note that not all apps support AirPrint.


     
  2. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.



    Tap Print.

  3. If your printer has not been specified, tap Select Printer.


     
  4. Tap on your printer.


     
  5. Tap Options to see additional options available, such as if you want to print with Double-sided printing and color.  After tapping Options, tap Range if you have a multiple page document or webpage open and you want to print a specific range of pages.


     
  6. Specify the page range you want to print.  Then, tap Printer Options.


     
  7. Tap Print.


     

How do I cancel a print job?

  1. If you want to cancel an item waiting to print (or that is currently printing), double click or tap the Home button on your iPhone or iPod Touch.  Then, swipe over to Print Center and tap it.  Then, tap on the item that you do not want to print.

    Note: If you have an iPhone X or later, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold until you see the App Switcher.  Then, swipe over to Print Center and tap it.


     
  2. Tap Cancel Printing.
