If your wireless router has a WPS push button on it, you can use this button to connect your PIXMA G5020 to the wireless network. Follow the steps below to perform this connection.

1. With the printer powered on, and on the HOME screen, press the Setup  button below the LCD.

   

2. In the Setup menu, Wi-Fi setup will be the first option. Press the OK button.

   

3. Use the arrows to select WPS (Push button). Then, press the OK button.

   

4. The message Press and hold WPS button on wireless router for about 5 sec. and press [OK] on the printer will scroll across the LCD. When this message appears, press the WPS button on your wireless router and hold it for about 5 seconds. Then, press the OK button on the printer.

   

    The WPS button on your router may look like either of the following:

    or 

   The button itself may be labelled simply as WPS or Wi-Fi Protected Setup.

   Refer to your router's documentation for more information.

5. The printer will attempt to connect to the wireless router.

   

6. The printer will display a message indicating that it has connected to the network.

   

   Press the OK button.

   The printer is now connected to the wireless network.

   After the printer has been connected to the network, you will need to install the software for the printer on your Windows PC or Mac.

 If you are unable to connect your printer to the wireless network using this setup method, you can also use the Cableless setup method to establish a wireless connection. Select the computer or mobile device you have for instructions.
