Description

This article explains how to load documents into the ADF (Auto Document Feeder) of the PIXMA G7020.

Solution

Loading Documents in the ADF (Auto Document Feeder)

The ADF (Auto Document Feeder) supports A4, B5, A5, letter-size, and legal-size original documents.

Be careful not to let anything get inside the document output slot. It may cause damage.

To scan a document at optimum quality, load it on the platen (scanner glass).

  1. Make sure that any original document or photo has been removed from the platen glass.

  2. Open the document tray (A).

  3. Slide the paper guides (B) all the way out.

  4. Insert the document WITH SIDE TO SCAN FACING UP in the document tray, until you hear a beep sound.

Insert the document until it stops.

Learn about the kinds of original items you can load for copying, scanning, or faxing.

  5. Adjust the document guide (B) to match the width of document.

Don't slide the document guide too hard against the document. The document may not be fed properly.

When scanning legal-size documents from the ADF, use Document in IJ Scan Utility. Be sure to set the Source to Document (ADF Simplex) or Document (ADF Manual Duplex).

Select Document (ADF Simplex) or Document (ADF Manual Duplex) in Settings (Document Scan)

Select Legal for Original Size in Settings (Document Scan)
