Plus Mode
The ScanApp Lei is used to add functionality & productivity. If there is more than 1 PC running the ScanApp Lei, the prefered Plus PC can be set.
- Copy – The scan data is transferred to the PC while scanning to make the scanner available for the next job sooner. The ScanApp Lei spools the jobs and sends the print data to the printer.
- Scan to USB – File types: PDF, PDF/A, M-PDF & JPG. The scan data is sent to the PC where the ScanApp Lei compresses and sends the scan file back to the USB in the scanner. Plus mode is used automatically when PDF, PDF/A, M-PDF & JPG are selected
Standard Mode (No PC is required)
- Copy – The scanner will transfer data direct to the printer. The scanner has to wait for the printer to finish before the next job can be started.
- Scan to USB – TIFF ONLY. Scan data is stored internally on the scanner, and then transferred to the USB.
ScanApp Mode Standard/Plus does not affect the following functions:
- Scan to PC – The scan data is sent to the PC. The ScanApp Lei compresses and saves the file.
- Copy & Archive - The scan data is sent to the PC. The ScanApp Lei compresses and saves the file and sends the print data to the printer.
INSTALLATION NOTE:
The ScanApp Lei should be installed on a PC on the same network as both the L24ei / L36ei scanner AND the iPF 670/671/770/771 or TM-200/300/5200/5300 or TA-20/30/5200/5300 printer. (Not all printers supported in all regions).
Maximum number of supported printers or PCs running ScanApp Lei = 15 (Maximumn number that can be assigned a number = 9).
