Clean the Print Head From the Operation Panel - PIXMA TR150

Learn how to clean your PIXMA TR150's print head from the opertaion panel.

Solution

Follow the steps below to clean the print head.

Before you begin

  • Clean the print head if lines are missing or if horizontal white streaks are present in the printed nozzle check pattern.

  • Print head cleaning unclogs the nozzles and restores the print head condition.

  • Clean the print head only when necessary because the process consumes ink.
     

Print head cleaning

  1. Make sure that the printer is powered on.

  2. Load a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in rear tray.

  3. Select the Setup icon Setup icon on the HOME screen.

  4. Select Maintenance.

  5. Select Cleaning. The confirmation screen will appear.

  6. Select Yes. The printer starts cleaning the print head.

 Do not perform any other operations until the printer completes the process. This takes about 1 to 2 minutes.

  1. The pattern print confirmation screen will appear.

  2. Select Yes.

  3. Press the OK button. The nozzle check pattern will be printed.

  4. Select Next.

  5. Examine the nozzle check pattern.

 If the problem is not resolved after cleaning the print head twice, perform a deep print head cleaning.
