Clean The Paper Feed Rollers From the Operation Panel - PIXMA TR150

Description

Learn how to clean the paper feed rollers for the PIXMA TR150 from its operation panel.

Solution

Paper may not feed properly if the rollers are dirty or are covered in paper powder. Follow the steps below to clean the paper feed rollers.

Before you begin

  • This process will wear out the paper feed roller. Perform only when necessary.

  • You will need three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper.


Clean the paper feed rollers from the operation panel.

  1. Make sure that the printer is powered on.

  2. Select the Setup icon  Setup icon on the Home screen.

  3. Select Maintenance.

  4. Select Roller cleaning. The confirmation screen will appear.

  5. Select Yes.

  6. Follow the message to remove any paper from the rear tray.

  7. Press the OK button. The paper feed roller will rotate as it is cleaned without paper.

  8. Make sure that the paper feed roller stops, then follow the message to load three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the rear tray.

  9. Press the OK button. The printer starts roller cleaning. The process is complete when the paper is ejected.

  10. When the completion message appears, select OK.


Clean the paper feed rollers manually

 Do not touch the roller with your fingers.

  1. If the problem is not resolved after the paper feed rollers are cleaned via the operation panel, turn off the power, unplug the power cord.

  2. Wipe the paper feed roller (A) located on the right side inside the rear tray with a moistened cotton swab (or similar material) while you roatate the paper feed roller manually. 

  3. Rotate the roller two or more times.

  4. After the paper feed roller is cleaned manually, turn on the power, then clean the paper feed roller again from the operation panel.
