Learn how to clean the inside or the bottom plate of your PIXMA TR150 from a Windows computer.

Solution

If the inside or bottom plate of the printer becomes dirty, your prints may come out stained and dirty, Follow the steps below to clean inside the printer.

Clean Inside the printer

 Clean the bottom plate first before you perform duplex prints to prevent smudges on the back side of the paper.

  1. Open the Canon IJ Printer Assistant Tool.

  2. Select Bottom Plate Cleaning.

    Select Bottom Plate Cleaning in the IJ Printer Assistant Tool (outlined in red)

  3. Set the paper thickness lever (A) to the right, and load paper in the printer.

  1. As instructed in the dialog box, remove any paper from the rear tray and then load a sheet of A4 or Letter size plain paper into the rear tray.

  1. Prepare a second sheet of A4 or Letter size plain paper, fold it in half horizontally, and then unfold it.

  2. Load the folded second sheet of paper in front of the first sheet with the open side facing you.

  3. Make sure that the printer is turned on and then select Start.

  4. Bottom plate cleaning begins.
