Review the information below to learn about the printer's feed settings.

Before you begin

• To prevent misprints, register the paper size and the media type loaded in the rear tray in the printer's settings first. This will allow the printer to display a message if the loaded paper size does not match the print settings in the computer.

• Learn about the proper combination of media types you can specify with the printer driver (Windows) and on the LCD.

• Learn about the proper combination of paper sizes you can specify with the printer driver (Windows) and on the LCD.

Feed settings

1. Select the Setup icon  on the Home screen.

2. Select Feed settings.

3. The options below will be available:

• Rear tray paper settings.

  • Registers the paper size and the media type you load on the rear tray.

• Check paper replacement.

  • Select Enable to detect paper replacement operation.

  • When paper is replaced, paper information screen appears.

  • Select paper size and media type.

• Detect paper setting mismatch.

  • If you select Enable, the printer detects whether the paper size and the media type are identical with those registered in Feed settings.

  • If a print job starts with settings that do not match, an error message is displayed on the LCD.

  • When Disable is selected, the settings in Feed settings are disabled.
