Solution

Review the information below if printer support code or error 5100 has occurred.

Resolve support code 5100

  1. Press the printer's Stop button to cancel the print job.

  2. Turn off the printer.

  3. Make sure print head holder motion is not impeded by transport (orange) tape, jammed paper, etc. Remove any impediment.
     

 Be careful and do not touch the components inside. The printer may be damaged or not function properly.
 

  1. Confirm that the print head lock lever is locked securely. Push both tabs of the print head lock lever until each clicks into place.

  2. Make sure the ink tanks are properly installed. If the front (innermost) part of the ink tank sticks up, push the ink tank until it clicks into place.

  3. Turn the printer back on.
