Prepare the printer for shipment.

  1. With the print head and ink tank left installed in the printer, press the ON button to turn off the power. The print head will be automatically capped, which prevents it from drying.

  2. Check that the ON lamp is off, and then unplug the power cord.

 Malfunction or damage to the printer may happen if you unplug the printer while the ON lamp is lit or flashes.

  1. Retract the paper support, then close the rear tray cover and paper output slot cover.

  2. Unplug the usb cable from both the computer and printer, then unplug the AC adapter from the printer.

  3. When the battery is not used for a long period of time (6 months or longer), remove the battery from the printer.

  4. Use adhesive tape to secure all the covers on the printer to keep them closed while in transit.

  5. Pack the printer in the plastic bag.

  6. Attach the protective material to the printer when you pack the printer in the box.

  7. Pack the printer in a sturdy box with sufficient protective material to ensure safe transport.

  8. When you pack the printer, do not place it with the front side (paper output slot) face down.

  9. Mark the box with a label that reads "PRECISION MACHINE."
