Before you begin

  • PictBridge settings

  • Please refer to the instructions given in the PictBridge (Wi-Fi) compliant device's instruction manual for print settings.

  • Names of the setting items are the ones used in Canon-brand PictBridge (Wi-Fi) compliant devices. Setting item names may be different based on the brand or model of your device.

  • Some setting items below may not be available on some devices. The settings made on the printer are applied. Also, when some items are set to Default on a PictBridge (Wi-Fi) compliant device, the printer settings for these items are applied.

  • Based on your PictBridge (Wi-Fi) compliant device, you may not be able to select some paper sizes or paper size names may vary.
     

Settings on PictBridge (Wi-Fi) compliant device

  • Paper size:

    • Letter

    • A4

    • 4" x 6" (10 x 15 cm)

    • 5" x 7" (13 x 18 cm)

    • 8" x 10" (20 x 25 cm)

    • 2L (5.00 x 7.01 in. (127.0 x 178.0 mm))

    • Square 3.5" x 3.5" 9 x 9 cm

    • Square 5" x 5" 13 x 13 cm

    • Card 2.17" x 3.58" 55 x 91 mm

  • Paper type:

    • Default:

      • Glossy Photo Paper "Everyday Use" (GP-501/GP-508)

      • Photo Paper Glossy (GP-701)

      • Matte Photo Paper (MP-101)

      • Restickable Photo Paper (RP-101)

      • Removable Photo Stickers (PS-308R)

      • Magnetic Photo Paper (MG-101/PS-508)

      • Double sided Matte Paper (MP-101D)

    • Photo:

      • Photo Paper Plus Glossy II (PP-201/PP-208/PP-301)

      • Photo Stickers with 16 stickers per sheet (PS-108) (*)

      • Photo Stickers Free Cutting (PS-208) (*)

      • Photo Stickers Variety Pack (PS-808) (*)

 (*) For on sticker paper prints, select 4"x6" / 10x15cm in Paper size. Do not set Layout to Borderless.

  • Plain:

    • Canon Red Label Superior (WOP111)

  • Canon Océ Office Colour Paper (SAT213)

    • Plain Paper

 When Paper type is set to Plain, borderless prints will be disabled even when Layout is set to Borderless.

  • Layout:
    • Default (Selections based on the printer setting)

    • Index

    • Bordered

    • Borderless

      • N-up (2, 4, 9, 16) (*1)

 (*1) Layout compatible with A4 or Letter-sized paper and Canon-brand sticker above.

  • 1-up (*2)

  • 20-up (*2)

 (*2) With a Canon brand PictBridge (Wi-Fi) compliant device, items select with the (i) mark allows you to print picture data (Exif Data) in list format (20-up) or on the margins (1-up). May not be available with some Canon-brand PictBridge (Wi-Fi) compliant devices.

  • 35-up (*3)

 (*3) Printed in 35 mm Film Style Layout (Contact Printing Layout). Available only with a Canon-brand PictBridge (Wi-Fi) compliant device. May not be available with some Canon-brand PictBridge (Wi-Fi) compliant devices.

  • A4/Letter: 4-up

  • Photo Stickers: 2-up, 4-up, 9-up, 16-up.

  • Print date & file no.:

    • Default (Off: No printing)

    • Date

    • File No.

    • Both

    • Off

  • Image optimize

    • Default (Selections based on the printer setting),

  • On (Auto photo fix) (*1)

 (*1) The scene or person's face is recognized and the most suitable correction (color, brightness, or contrasts) for each photo is made automatically. For example: a backlit subject's face, which is darker, will be printed brighter.

  • Off

  • Red-Eye (*2)

 (*2) Can be selected only on certain Canon-brand PictBridge (Wi-Fi) compliant devices.

  • Trimming

    • Default (Off: No trimming)

    • On (follow the camera's setting)

    • Off
       

Settings on the printer

 Set the print settings to Default on the PictBridge (Wi-Fi) compliant device when you want to print with the printer's settings..

  1. Make sure that the printer is powered on.

  2. Select Setup icon Setup icon on the Home screen.

  3. Select Device settings.

  4. Select PictBridge settings.

  5. Check the message that is displayed and then select OK.
