Solution

Printing Photographs Directly from a Wireless PictBridge Compliant Device

You can connect a wireless PictBridge compliant device such as a digital still camera, digital camcorder, or camera-equipped mobile phone to the printer via Wi-Fi, and print recorded images directly without using a computer.

The printer accepts images* taken with a camera compliant with the Design rule for Camera File system and PNG files.

* Exif 2.2/2.21/2.3 compliant

 Wi-Fi connection with the printer is required to use this function.

 PictBridge is the Standard to print your photos directly without using a computer, connecting a device such as a digital still camera, digital camcorder, or camera-equipped mobile phone.

 When printing photos with the wireless PictBridge compliant device connected to the printer, we recommend the use of the AC adapter supplied with the device. If you are using the device battery, be sure to charge it fully.

 Depending on the model or brand of your device, you may have to select a print mode compliant with wireless PictBridge before connecting the device. You may also have to turn on the device or select Play mode manually after connecting the device to the printer.

Perform necessary operations on the wireless PictBridge compliant device before connecting it to this printer according to instructions given in the device's instruction manual.

  1. Make sure that the printer is powered on.

  2. Load paper into the top feed or the manual feed tray.

  3. Connect the wireless PictBridge compliant device to printer. Refer to the instructions for the device for information on establishing the wireless connection.

  4. Specify print settings such as paper type and layout.

    Use your wireless PictBridge compliant device to select the same size and type of paper as is loaded in the printer.

    If your wireless PictBridge compliant device does not have a setting menu, change the setting from the printer.

     When printing from the wireless PictBridge compliant device, set the print quality with the operation panel on the printer. You cannot set the print quality on the wireless PictBridge compliant device.

  5. Start printing from your wireless PictBridge compliant device.
